“A plot of land close to the sea, with good accesses, where you can only hear the birds and the sound of the trees. These were the main ingredients for starting this project.
We divided the land into plots so that we could design a type of housing that would not disturb this initial premise.
The proposal opens up courtyards in the built mass, which, as well as allowing the green to continue, increases the visual permeability of the internal spaces, effectively making them larger than the physical area they occupy.
This was the sustainable way we found to approach this project, as we believe that sustainability has to do with the way we experience space and not with compensatory measures to correct a bad design.
Our aim with this project is to promote a different, communitary way of life.”
