alma | n. f. | n. f. pl. Latin anima, -ae, breath, air, respiration, vital principle, feminine noun
Our latest collection, ALMA, was designed by architect Joaquim Portela, whose taste and work ethic we consider exceptional. He drew inspiration from the iconic structures of Nordic architecture and the integrated nature of the site, creating a discreet intervention that flows through the green and regenerative spaces that surround it.
The ALMA houses were designed based on the concept of a courtyard and grouped into 9 townhouses and 5 individual houses.
The house is the shelter that welcomes our soul, where we find comfort and peace to nourish our dreams. It’s the place we choose to stay, an oasis of regeneration for all the senses of our essence, body, and spirituality. We believe that people need new spaces where souls merge, connect, and grow.
HISTORY
COURTYARD
The idea of including a courtyard in the project has always intrigued us. The concept of a courtyard is ancient and has existed since humans began building their homes. Besides bringing in light and ventilation, the courtyard was the soul of the house, a space where everyone gathered and socialized. With modern architecture, the concept of a courtyard has added another dimension to the home, bringing nature into the residence and enhancing the aesthetics of the environment.
"One of the reasons for choosing architect Joaquim Portela and his team was the importance that both of us give to the concept of a courtyard. We believe that it is an extension of all the indoor spaces of
the house. The entire project was carefully considered and discussed to create a perfect layout, a multifunctional space that provides various leisure and social activities. Our goal is to enable people to spend their time both inside and outside the house."
The architecture and functionality of this collection breaks the current landscape of national architecture.
